After long and meticulous work, we are excited to present all twelve spellbooks for Side by Side! Each spell has been rigorously tested within our internal combat model to ensure balanced gameplay — no overpowered or underwhelming spells, just pure magic designed for an immersive experience. Each spellbook contains 20+ authentic spells and at least 2 passive magic abilities.

🔗 Each spellbook and General Magic Rules are available for separate purchase on the DriveThruRPG website. These documents should be accessible only to the Game Master and players whose characters have sufficient knowledge of corresponding magic school. Others should refrain from reading it to avoid gaining information their characters shouldn’t possess, thereby minimizing the risk of metagaming. For this reason, each spellbook is presented in a separate document.

I’m thrilled to announce that the first Side by Side book has officially been published and is now available for purchase! This has been an incredible journey, and I’m proud to finally share it with you 🙂 You can check the preview and purchase it directly here.

Whether you're an experienced tabletop RPG player or someone new to the genre, this book is the essential guide for mastering the Side by Side (SbS) tabletop role-playing game 🎲 It offers comprehensive rules for character creation, combat mechanics, and gameplay, containing everything you need to run your campaign as a GM or join as a player. The Core Rulebook includes:

Character development

Detailed sections on physical and mental attributes, professions, and combat skills to help players create and evolve their characters. Examples of character backstories and character sheets are included.

Digital character sheet

Inside the book, you’ll find a link to a character sheet template you can copy and use for your game. It contains many useful formulas that calculate things for you. Item pricing is reflected in the digital character sheet, which contains supporting information so you won’t need to refer to the Core Rulebook as often.

Profession mastery

Guidance on learning and using professions, with a focus on realistic progression and skill application. SbS includes 32 professions. Competence is sometimes much more valuable than simply slaying monsters. Characters may cooperate with other professions to produce something of higher value or just to survive.

25 combat skills and 114 feats

Explore a variety of combat skills and feats that allow characters to develop unique fighting styles and tactical advantages. Different combinations of combat skills and feats offer endless replayability options.

Realistic combat mechanics

In-depth rules for combat, including attack options, body mapping, and injury management, with every action measured in seconds for a tactical experience.

Detailed equipment and crafting

Information on 70 types of weapons, armor, and other equipment, including crafting rules, item quality management, and economics. The Enchanter profession even allows characters to create magical items and artifacts.

Side by Side Launches Official Website

Greetings adventurers!

It is with great pleasure that I announce the launch of the official Side by Side website. As the author of this exciting new tabletop roleplaying game, I couldn't be more thrilled to share it with the world.

Side by Side is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. I set out to create a game that would immerse players in a rich and detailed universe, while offering a unique blend of strategy, storytelling, and character development.

There are ambitious plans to add new cool features to the website. Players will have their own cabinet where they can check game materials and session calendar. In future I`m planning making internet shop to offer resources for game masters like pre-made campaigns that include scenario, maps, and NPCs, making it easy for anyone to start playing right away.
